Dioni Pérez is an AI/ML and MLOps engineer based in Madrid, with a Double Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM).

Throughout his career, he has led the full AI lifecycle — from model design to production deployment — in sectors like banking, insurance, real estate, and healthcare. He has built and scaled ML systems actively managing over €1bn in assets, and created AI departments and engineering teams from scratch.

His work sits at the intersection of engineering, data science, and business strategy. He doesn't just build models — he builds products and systems that move numbers.

### Co-founder & CTO — Menhir Technologies
January 2020 – December 2025 · Madrid

Designed and deployed multiple ML/AI models in banks actively managing +€1bn AUM total. Key results include: 80% increase in collection rates on a +€700M portfolio for a Tier 1 consumer finance bank; 40% reduction in collection costs (+€4bn AUM) at a Spanish Tier 1 bank; 25% increase in leads for a leading real estate fund (+100k units in Spain). Created the AI department in Alkemy Iberia from scratch, establishing processes and methodologies. Led recruitment and training of junior talent. Developed production-ready AI models (attribution, lead scoring) implemented in the insurance sector. Built cloud-native ETL pipelines (AWS) for enterprise banking projects.
